The 2026 iX delivers the thrilling performance that makes BMW famous, only without the engine noise. The iX xDrive45 produces 402 horsepower and launches to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds. Step up to the iX xDrive60 and you'll enjoy a 20-horsepower boost this year, bringing total output to 536. It rockets to 60 mph in only 4.4 seconds. Both models cruise all the way to 124 mph.
But here's where things get really exciting. The iX M70 xDrive sits at the top of the lineup with genuine sports car performance. Its high-output dual motors deliver up to 650 horsepower in Sport mode - that's 40 more than last year's M60 xDrive. Activate Launch Control and you'll feel all 811 lb-ft of torque pin you to your seat. The M70 reaches 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and keeps pulling to 155 mph with performance tires.
BMW iX Capability.
BMW's Efficient Dynamics technology doesn't just boost power-it maximizes every bit of battery efficiency too. The xDrive45 delivers an impressive 290 to 312 miles of range, while the xDrive60 extends that to 318 to 364 miles on a single charge. Even the performance-hungry M70 xDrive manages 283 to 303 miles.
A factory-installed trailer hitch is now available across the lineup, enabling every iX model to tow up to 3,500 pounds. The iX also debuts silicon carbide inverters-a first for BMW electric vehicles-delivering exceptional efficiency in energy conversion. Complementing this innovation, the updated suspension handles the increased power with remarkable ease and balance.
Smart recuperation extends your range by capturing energy every time you slow down. Switch to EFFICIENT mode for optimal energy use during your daily commute. If you need to squeeze out extra miles, the MAX RANGE function can add up to 25% more distance by tweaking power and comfort settings.
BMW iX Interior.

The updated iX makes a strong impression with its bold, unmistakably modern design. The signature kidney grille gets a fresh new frame with striking vertical and diagonal lines inside.
