Interior and Exterior
Regarding its exterior, the 2023 BMW X5 M boasts a more aggressive and sportier look that is sure to turn heads. It features an aerodynamic body kit with a large rear spoiler, quad exhaust tips, detailed M double-bar kidney grille, large front air intakes, and 21-inch M Double-spoke bi-color wheels. The interior has also been upgraded with sports seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an Anthracite Alcantara headliner, and Black Extended Merino Leather.
Technology
The standard Live Cockpit Professional with M View display provides the driver with all the necessary information. The Head-Up Display projects key information like navigation, shift indicator, and a rev counter onto the windshield. It also has a Harman Kardon Surround Sound Audio system with 16 speakers.
Safety Features
- Anti-lock Braking System (ABS): helps prevent the wheels from locking up during emergency braking. This helps the driver maintain control of the vehicle and avoid accidents.

Trim Levels
The 2023 BMW X5 M comes in three trim levels: the base X5 M, X5 M Competition, and X5 M50i.
- The base X5 M comes standard with features like adaptive LED headlights, 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, power-folding, and heated side mirrors.
- The X5 M Competition is the next step and adds features like 20-inch wheels, an adaptive suspension, upgraded brakes, a sports exhaust system, and more. Performance-wise, it has the same engine as the base model, but it's been tuned to produce 617 horsepower.
- The top-of-the-line X5 M50i is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine that produces 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard with features like 21-inch wheels and a head-up display.
All three trim levels come standard with eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The X5 M has an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 15 miles per gallon in the city and 21 miles per gallon on the highway.
