The New 2024 BMW X3

with top safety ratings and luxury features.

It's hard to believe the 2024 BMW X3 is an SUV with the way it drives like a sports sedan and the impressive speed it delivers. Yet even with all that power, the X3 won the 2024 IIHS award for safety in the luxury SUV segment. Plus, it retains the cargo space and versatility expected from an SUV.

This new addition is in stock now at Grayson BMW in Knoxville, Tennessee. As a premier luxury dealer serving drivers in the Knoxville area, we're thrilled to add the 2024 X3 to our lineup. Before you visit our dealership for a test drive, keep reading to learn why this may be BMW's most well-rounded SUV yet.

2024 BMW X3 Interior

BMW has always blended world-class German engineering with upscale amenities. The 2024 X3's cabin stays true to form. You'll immediately notice how incredibly comfortable it is inside the X3. No expense was spared with premium materials and attention to detail from all angles.

Settle into the multi-adjustable sport seats in soft SensaTec vinyl or Vernasca leather. Both front seats offer 10-way power adjustability with adjustable side bolsters to dial in support. Rear passengers aren't neglected either, thanks to standard reclining seat backs that enhance comfort on long hauls.

Regarding interior colors, few automakers offer as many choices as BMW. SensaTec and Vernasca upholsteries come in sophisticated options like:

  • Canberra Beige
  • Tacora Red
  • Cognac
  • Black
  • Mocha
  • Oyster

Details like this set the X3 interior apart. Finally, we can't forget to mention the huge panoramic glass roof. It makes the cabin feel open and airy-you'll never feel claustrophobic in here!

2024 BMW X3 Technology

Advanced technology defines today's luxury vehicles with some must-have features. The 2024 BMW X3 delivers on that front with a 12.3-inch touchscreen powered by BMW's iDrive 7 infotainment system. Access your music, navigation, and vehicle information through these crisp graphics.

A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel further enhances the high-tech cabin. Relevant driving data can be viewed front and center. Standard wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration and Bluetooth are also available.

The My BMW App takes convenience even further by enabling remote functions via smartphone. You can lock/unlock the doors, activate the available remote start system, and check fuel range, service info, and more, no matter where you are.

Also impressive is the X3's standard safety technology. That includes Active Blind Spot Detection and Lane Departure Warning. Frontal Collision Warning with automatic emergency braking is also standard.

2024 BMW X3 Trim Levels

As you've seen by now, the 2024 BMW X3 has a lot going for it - a fancy interior, forward-thinking technology, and an extremely usable size. But perhaps the most impressive thing about the X3 is how BMW has created distinct personalities within the lineup.

BMW gives shoppers a choice between:

       Convenience: sDrive30i and xDrive30i

       Premium: M40i

       Executive: M

Which one is right for you will depend on your lifestyle, driving habits, and budget. Let's take a closer look at each offering to help you make a decision.

sDrive30i & xDrive30i

The sDrive30i and xDrive30i are the gateway to X3 ownership. We placed these two together because both models share most attributes, including their 2.0-liter TwinPower turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The only real difference between them is the drivetrain. The sDrive is rear-wheel drive, while the xDrive adds BMW's acclaimed intelligent all-wheel drive system.

Although these have less engine power than other trims, the engine still provides 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth, quick shifts. You even get steering wheel paddle shifters to give the car that sporty feel. And, of course, BMW's famous launch control can put a smile on your face at any time.

Despite strong acceleration, these models return the best fuel efficiency of any trim level. The sDrive posts 23 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, while the xDrive is close behind at 21 city/28 highway.

Beyond potent performance, both models offer occupants premium amenities like power-adjustable sports seats. The navigation system is displayed on a 10.3-inch central touchscreen with a 12-speaker sound system. Convenience features include a rearview camera, front/rear parking sensors, and a universal garage door opener.

As for the exterior, standard 19-inch Y-spoke Ferric Grey wheels lend a dynamic stance. However, you can upgrade to the available 21-inch wheel designs to make a more aggressive statement. Satin aluminum exterior accents like the roof rails only increase the upscale style.

Standout Features

LED headlights: These bright headlights with auto-high beams improve nighttime vision

Heated side mirrors: Prevent winter frost buildup to improve visibility

Leather-wrapped steering wheel: Enhances grip and feel by giving a race-inspired sophistication

M40i

Slotting above the 30i duo as part of the "Premium" tier is the M40i model. The biggest difference lies under the hood, where you'll find a muscular 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine. Massaged by the masters at BMW M, this inline-six pumps out an impressive 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.

The intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive system comes standard for enhanced grip, as do adaptive M suspension and variable sport steering for an eager response. A 48-volt mild hybrid system improves efficiency by recuperating braking energy. Overall, this trim can hit 0-60 mph in as little as 4.4 seconds.

Inside, equipment takes a step up as well. M40i models come with a larger 12.3-inch central touchscreen display enabled with navigation and a surround sound system. But the most welcome interior upgrade is the standard panoramic glass roof. The front panel tilts and slides open to let in fresh air and sunshine, while a fixed rear glass panel extends the airiness to the back seat.

Standout Features

Hands-free Comfort Access: Open the tailgate with a simple kick gesture under the vehicle.

Upgraded Engine: Enjoy a more powerful 382-hp turbo inline six-cylinder engine

Improved Infotainment: 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation and premium sound

M

If the M40i seems potent, the range-topping M is a performance powerhouse in the "Executive" tier. Its upgraded version of the turbo inline six churns out 473 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque, launching this all-wheel-drive SUV to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds, quicker than some exotic sports cars.

At this point, you might as well go for the Competition Package. That will bump output to 503 horsepower, shaving another 0.2 seconds off the X3 M's already impressive 0-60 time. The M also tweaks its adaptive M suspension for flatter, more confident cornering.

Huge six-piston brakes with ventilated and drilled discs keep all that thrust in check. You can even choose the color of the calipers to perfectly complement your X3 M's paint – blue, black, or red all make a distinctive statement for your wheels. Speaking of the wheels, slightly bigger 20" double-spoke wheels come standard. However, you can choose to upgrade to the 21" V-Spoke Bi-Color Jet Black Wheels. Other exterior features include the iconic M double-bar kidney grille and aerodynamic front bumper.

The cabin feels suitably special, too, between the standard extended Merino leather upholstery and the Live Cockpit Professional infotainment system. The latter features the same two 12.3-inch displays for the digital gauges and a touchscreen.

Finally, those seeking the ultimate luxury experience can upgrade to the Executive Package, which adds a panoramic moonroof and head-up display.

Standout Features

Adaptive M Suspension: Minimizes body roll for sportier handling

M Differential: Splits torque between rear wheels to maximize grip

2024 BMW X3 Dimensions

The 2024 BMW X3 is what we like to call a right-sized SUV. It's big enough to comfortably seat five adults and handle all your cargo needs, but it's not so big that you can't maneuver or park.

With all seats in use, there's a respectable 28.7 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the rear seats. That's enough room for your suitcases or a week's worth of groceries. Fold the split-folding rear seats down, and you unlock an SUV-like 62.7 cubic feet of space.

The passenger room is similarly abundant, with 41.1 inches of front and rear headroom clearing for even tall riders. Legroom is 40.3 inches up front and 36.4 inches in back. Despite its athletic handling, the X3's interior remains practical for carrying passengers and gear.

On the outside, this BMW measures 185.9 inches long, 74.4 inches wide, and 66 inches tall. It definitely has the presence and ground clearance of an SUV.
