The summer months have been very good for our choice Bavarian automaker, BMW, who is reporting a total of 30,546 models sold between its BMW and MINI brands and representing a 35.4 percent increase, to boot, for the month of August in the U.S.

As for just BMW on its own, the specific entity is demonstrating even greater gains to the tune of 45.7 percent with a total of 24,523 new BMW models finding new homes in August 2013 as compared to the 16,835 that did the year, previous.

August's contribution has kept BMW on a steady track for a successful financial year. In fact, counting the eighth month of the year, BMW brand is up 14.8 percent, year-to-date, selling a total of 188,997 models in the U.S., thus far.

It's thanks to many of BMW's core products of which we at Grayson BMW are big fans, that the brand is doing so well. These models include: members of the 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series and 7 Series ranges as well as a few others.

It also seems that it isn't just new BMW models which are garnering popularity but rather used car models, as well. These not-quite-new models sold a total of 16,706 vehicles in the month of August and bumped 19.2 percent as compared to the same time in 2012.
