Grayson BMW in Knoxville, TN has official photos and details about the 2011 BMW X3 that have been released by the German manufacturer. This second generation model which will be presented to the public at the Paris Motor Show in September is slightly larger than its predecessor and will be offered with a range of new engines.

Both these engines will use an 8-speed automatic transmission and starting from 2011 a third powerplant will be available to Europeans, and that is a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that will be badged as the xDrive20d and which will deliver 184 HP and 280-lb-ft of torque.

This version will need 8.5 seconds to hit 100 Km/h from a stand still, with a maximum speed of 210 Km/h, and power will be sent to the wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
