While both SUVs provide ample room for passengers, it's the X1 that stands out with its more spacious headroom and legroom. Plus, you'll have more cargo space in the X1 for when you go grocery shopping for the week or when packing up for a weekend getaway.

The X1 offers a range of cargo space, from 27.1 to 58.7 cubic feet. The XT4, on the other hand, falls short with its 22.5 to 48.9 cubic foot cargo capacity.

Safe & Sound Inside Your SUV

While having room for your passengers to stretch out and entertainment features to help keep everyone entertained is good, we know that safe arrival to your destination is the most important thing. That's why we're happy to say both SUVs offer advanced safety features.

On both models, you'll have a frontal collision monitor that uses cameras and sensors to monitor a range around your SUV. When a potential hazard is detected, you'll receive an alert ,so you can make any necessary adjustments to avoid a collision.

While this feature is offered on both models, the BMW X1 takes safety a step further by offering Speed Limit Info and the Park Distance Control systems.

The Speed Limit Info feature can scan the speed limit signs you pass and project this information on your dashboard. This way, you'll always know the speed limit, even in unfamiliar areas. Plus, the Park Distance Control makes front and rear parking easy by alerting you if you're too close to a detected object.

Speed Limit Info isn't offered with the XT4 and only offers rear-parking assistance.
