BMW M3 E46 CSL- The Best Performance Car BMW Has Ever Built?

Could the E46 M3 CSL be the best car to come out of BMW M division? And can BMW build another one just as good?

CSL stands for "Coupe Sport Lightweight", a moniker first given to the legendary race winning BMW 3.0 CSL. First appearing in 1972, the 3.0CSL homologation special model was very successful in racing, especially in the European Touring Car Championship and the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft, thus securing BMW's…

    Dyno-Tested: 2012 BMW Z4 SDrive28i

It's true, BMW is phasing out its traditional 3.0-liter inline-six and replacing it with a turbocharged four-cylinder. Across the board, no exceptions, the aspro mill will soon be gone  -- finis, stick a fork in it.

The 2012 BMW Z4 SDrive28i is the first to receive the new four-pot heart, alongside the 2012 528i. We've only driven the sedan at a site far from our slide rules and abaci, but we did recently?

2011 BMW X3 – Newfound Lines with a Dash of All Grown Up.

When BMW announced the replacement of its original and segment-founding X3, a nervous tension filled the air. You see, BMW's original X3 was polarizing to look at - to be kind. And while it drove well and met the economic and utilitarian needs of a large market segment, many snubbed its ugly duckling looks and held on to their wallets. The stakes were high as Bavarian executives pulled the silk off of BMW's all-new?

BMW’s Android App Allows You To Contribute To The Creation Of The EVs Of The Future

Are electronic/hybrid cars catching on? Sure it has but probably not as fast as car manufacturers would like. Despite the promises that not only will it save you fuel but also create a cleaner environmental footprint, people are simply not buying into Electric Vehicles (EV), maybe the whole stigmata about electric/hybrid cars not being as fast/powerful as their fuel variants, which in part is true, although personally that would only matter if?

BMW Crash-Severity Algorithm Tells Emergency Room Where it Hurts

BMW has raised automatic crash notification to a new level. The on-board BMW Assist telematics system already calls 911 after a crash, just as many other brands do. But BMWs can also report to the 911 call center the likely severity of occupant injuries, and now BMW says it can transmit the injury information to a nearby hospital trauma center. BMW's enhanced automatic collision notification (enhanced ACN or EACN) uses a sophisticated set of?

    BMW Run Flat Tires

    Apprehensive About Run-Flats?

I know that many people are skeptical of run-flat tires, but my recent experience might be helpful to all users of these tires. We recently made a 500-mile trip to visit relatives in Knoxville in our 328i, which came equipped with Contenental run-flat tires. About 50 miles until our destination, we ran over a small object in the road, and the low-pressure icon flashed on the dash. We continued at highway speed…

BMW Ultimate Service at $0 Cost to BMW Owners

BMW's Ultimate Service is ranked as one of the most comprehensive free maintenance programs. "BMW Ultimate Service" goes for the first 4 years of ownership, or the first 50,000 miles. The program includes wearable parts such as brake pads and rotors, wiper blades and of course, the costly oil service.

MINI's free maintenance plan is similar and until recently, the only other automaker to include wearable parts in their coverage. MINI's…
